St. Maarten venue for URISA Caribbean Chapter Association of GIS Professionals in February;

Registration still open

St. Maarten is the venue for the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) Caribbean Chapter for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Professionals from February 12-14 at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort.

 

The URISA Caribbean Chapter in collaboration with the Government of Sint Maarten and the International Cartographic Association is hosting its first regional workshop on Modern Cartography.

Registration is still open and additional information can be found at the Government website: www.sintmaartengov.org; go to "Special Campaigns" in the red block and you will see the program and contact details for registration.

URISA is a multidisciplinary association where professionals from all parts of the spatial data community come together to share concerns and ideas.

Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure Hon. Maurice Lake is very pleased that Sint Maarten was selected as the venue for the workshop.

Minister Lake is encouraging all local interests in the aforementioned discipline to sign-up for the workshop.
