Prime Minister, Minister of Education Lourens hold meeting with S4 Board Members

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams was joined by Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport’s Affairs the Honorable Patricia Lourens-Phillip in receiving a courtesy visit from Board Members of the S4 Foundation at her Cabinet on Thursday. During the courtesy meeting various items concerning the interests of St. Maarten’s Students living abroad were discussed.

The S4 Foundation was established In November 2004, being incorporated by the Prime Minister who was then Commissioner of education to ensure the proper guidance and supervision of St. Maarten students in the Netherlands. The tasks duties and responsibilities of S4 are stipulated in a Service Level Agreement or "Samenwerkingsovereenkomst" between the Government of St. Maarten and S4. Our primary task is to provide the necessary support & assistance to our students in the Netherlands and to monitor and report the progress of these students to the Government of St. Maarten.
