TelEm Group’s Business Development Department will this week begin distribution of the brand new TelEm Group Phone Book 2014.
The TelEm Group Phone Book 2014 is a listing of landline numbers of residential and commercial customers from Dutch and French St. Maarten/St. Martin and also from the neighbouring islands of Saba, St. Barths and St. Eustatius.
The new phone book is packed with information about telecommunication services on St. Maarten with illustrations of Flora and Fauna from all the islands served by TelEm Group. It also features a yellow pages section for quick reference and of course is in the company’s favorite red color.
In the foreword to introduce the publication to customers, Chief Financial Officer, Mrs. Helma Etnel says despite the advent of online information and new technology, "the traditional telephone directory is as relevant today as it has ever been," and she believes it is one directory that will remain in the household for many years. Mrs. Etnel has also promised that TelEm Group will be developing Directory and mobile Apps to further support efficient use of the TelEm Group Phone Book 2014.
First copies of the re-vamped telephone directory were presented to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Mrs. Helma Etnel, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Mr. Brian Mingo and Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Eldert Louisa, during a short presentation ceremony at the TelEm Group main office last Thursday.
Mrs. Etnel thanked the directory team for a "great job" in producing one of the best directories that has been produced in many years.
"The idea of the team to involve the general public and TelEm Group customers in providing images and material for the Phone Book pages was especially creative and rewarding," said the CFO.
Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Brian Mingo also thanked the team for their input and many hours of hard work behind the scenes to produce the Phone Book 2014.
"There are many plans to develop the Phone Book further and to continue to make it relevant to our customers for the contact and other general information that the publication provides," said Mr. Mingo.
He congratulated, Directory Project Coordinator, Business Development Officer, Ms. Estalita Gumbs, Manager, Business Development, Mrs. Carmen Lake-Reyes, and Manager Sales & Marketing Mr. Emile Van der Weerd for coordinating the efforts of various departments and personnel within the company to ensure the publication was ready at the start of the year for distribution to residential and business clients.
The TelEm Group Phone Book 2014 was distributed to TelEm Group personnel Friday after which copies will be delivered to various stakeholders and the Shareholder Representative.
Customer copies will be delivered to homes by the Post Office and to businesses by TelEm Group Account Managers. Only one copy of the TelEm Group Phone Book 2014 will be given for each customer account. Different arrangements apply for business customers who will receive directories based on the number of telephone lines they have and also depending on their advertising contracts with the Phone Book 2014.
