Prime Minister attends opening of USM Language Lab

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams joined Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Affairs the Honorable in opening the Language Lab at the University of St. Maarten on Wednesday.  

Also at the opening were the Governor of St. Maarten His Excellency Eugene Holiday, Minister of Finance the Honorable Roland Tuitt and the Minister of Health and Social Affairs the Honorable Cornelius De Weever. The Prime Minister applauded the University in the Realization of this important step in the development of language on St. Maarten. "I would like to congratulate and applaud USM for this very important achievement. St. Maarten, despite having its official language, is a country where many different languages and dialects are spoken and this is indeed a very important step in the research of what language means to this country. So once again I would like to applaud and congratulate the University of St. Maarten with this very important milestone," concluded the Prime Minister.
