HNLMS Pelican brings water to Saba

The vessel of the Royal Navy in the Caribbean, HNLMS Pelican goes next week the people of Saba help by a bulk stock to supply water to the island. Saba is facing a severe shortage of drinking water after a long drought and a faulty water plant.It concerns in particular public institutions such as schools, hospitals and retirement homes by their water through threatening to hit.

The Government representative of the BES islands had this a request for military assistance to the Commander Navy in the Caribbean. This will be responded by deploying HNLMS Pelican, same ship in August 2009 60.000 liters of water to Saba brought an imminent shortage.
