‘Team planning to compete in Aruba in October’
Oualichi Women’s Soccer Team will travel to Aruba for a friendly match organized by the Aruban Football Association next month October. Aruba has been campaigning to promote women’s football on their island and as part of their program they invited the Oualichi Women’s Soccer Team for a friendly match. To make this trip possible, the team has been busy looking for sponsors and raising funds. NAPA Auto Parts has become one of the sponsors to make this trip possible by funding two airfare tickets for the team.
It will be a first for Oualichi to compete against teams from Aruba since the team already competed against Bonaire, Curacao, Suriname and the neighboring islands Anguilla, St. Barths, St Kitts and Dominica. ‘This fits with our vision to continue promoting women’s football and we are more than happy to join Aruba in their campaign of promoting football for more women participation in the sport. We would like to thank NAPA for their generous contribution in making this possible and we hope that more companies will assist us with the necessary funds’ commented president of Oualichi Ms. Danaë Daal.
