The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams held a meeting with the new Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the United Nations Mr. Karel J. G. van Oosterom. During the meeting topics such as St. Maarten’s role in the Kingdom as a new Country, possible assistance by the Permanent Representative for St. Maarten’s national agenda and the candidacy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the UN Security Council. During the meeting Prime Minister Sarah Wescot-Williams presented van Oosterom with a commemorative coin following their meeting in New York.
