Message from the President Tamara Leonard
As president of the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it gives me great pleasure to express our appreciation and thanks to you for obliging to our invitation today in celebration of this import milestone for our institution. The St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry over its past 35 years has been on a steady growth in achieving its purpose and in continuous recognition of this achievement we are publicly thanking the business community and partners for its understanding and patience in this growth process.
Today, Wednesday March 12, 2014 is our anniversary date and in respect to this I would like to congratulate our present and former board members here today and those absent, our Executive Director Mr. Claret Connor, our Operations Manager Mrs. Ruth Patrick and her Staff for their unending dedication and commitment in service to this institution, as we endeavor to improve on our services to the business and general community of our country.
Once again, I say congratulations to all!

35 years of any organization or human achievement is no matter easy task; especially when it concerns the operation of the island’s statutory organization that is based on laws, rules and responsibilities that neither you nor us would have any control over. Throughout these years of operations, we have witnessed the Evolution of an Institution that is eternally appreciative and thankful to everyone who is and have been committed to its continued growth from strength to strength on St. Maarten.
With this I say congratulations to the Board of Directors, my Management Team and hardworking Staff.
I would now like to call upon the President of the Board of Directors to briefly address you this afternoon.
