Douane Caribisch Nederland intercepts 1389.70 grams of cocaine in February

Recently, members of the Douane Caribisch Nederland intercepted some drugs again.

In total 1389.70 grams of cocaine was intercepted on Bonaire, with a total street value of almost USD 55.588.

On February 7th, a female passenger on a scheduled flight from Curacao was found with 351.40 grams of cocaine. Further investigation showed that the passenger appeared to be carrying the drugs internally.

Subsequently, on February 8th, 1038.30 grams of cocaine were found on a male passenger. It was his intention to go to The Netherlands on a scheduled flight. Further investigation showed that the passenger appeared to have swallowed small sacks of cocaine.

Customs always remains alert to attempts to smuggle drugs in or out of the Caribbean Netherlands.
