National Alliance Requests Urgent Meeting On Developments At SXM Aiport

In view of the ongoing developments at SXM the faction of the National Alliance has decided to request an urgent meeting of Parliament to discuss these and other maters with the shareholder representative, Minsiter Ted Richardson.

The request will be submitted to the Chairlady of Parliament tomorrow morning.

 

Clarity is needed, leader of the National Alliance said on Monday night. According to information reaching the faction, employees of the Finance Department have supposedly been told that if they do not inform management who leaked documents, the entire department would be fired.

Late Monday night it was rumored that at the least one employee had been sent home. It was not clear if the employee in question had been fired or had been sent home pending an investigation.

Marlin said that while the airport management is focusing on who May have leaked information, important is to find out what is true about the many allegations circulating on there island.

The airport is definitely one of St. Maarten’s strategic companies and we cannot afford any actions there.

Marlin said he hopes the meeting will be convened by Thursday upcoming and that Minister Ted Richardson will provide clarity to the many questions.
