Minister Lake reminds population about Saturday Country-wide Clean Up;

Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI) Hon. Maurice Lake, is reminding the Sint Maarten community that this Saturday, February 1st is country-wide clean-up day.

The Sint Maarten community, organizations, social and civic, service clubs and community councils, individual household and property owners, are invited to participate in this cooperative effort to clean and beautify your neighbourhood. Your cooperation is needed in this campaign to protect our communities from dengue fever and chikungunya viruses that are spread by mosquitos.

The schedule for Saturday is as follows:

St. Maarten – West Community Clean-up by Waste Hauler Leonard Enterprises: All items should be placed outside between 6.30am and 10.30am.

For Saturday, February 1st the waste hauler will clean-up the following areas: Union Rd., Fahrenheit Rd., Water Rock Ln., Arlet Peters and Cashew Tree Rd.

Waste hauler Meadowland will be focusing on the Bush Road and Zagersgut area on Saturday, and Cul de Sac area on Sunday, February 2nd.

Waste hauler Clean Sint Maarten will be focusing on the Fort Willem and Point Blanche area.

All Waste in Place will carry out its clean-up activities from 7.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday and Sunday in the areas of Middle Region, Dutch Quarter, Union Farm and Nazareth.
