Public School teachers receive bonus for outstanding attendance

It was a festive afternoon when Department of Public Education Services Head Mrs. Glenderline Davis-Holiday presented teachers with a small monetary bonus and certificate for their outstanding attendance during the academic year 2012-2013.

About 25 teachers representing all the public schools were awarded for 100% attendance. Mrs. Davis-Holiday and the various school managers thanked the teachers for their faithful participation to the students and encouraged them to continue to be an example to the others.

Minister of Education the Honorable Patricia Lourens-Philip, who was offisland, sent words of congratulations thru her staff letting them know that she "knows what it takes to not let your students down when you have your own lives and issues to deal with".

The teachers took pictures and enjoyed snacks and drinks provided by the Department of Public Education Services.
