Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Hon. Maurice Lake informed Dutch Prime Minister Hon. Mark Rutte about his plans for a Solid Waste Management facility during a visit to the Landfill on Thursday afternoon.
Minister Lake informed Prime Minister Rutte that he would like to see the new facility up and running by mid-2015 and believes that such a date is feasible if all parties work towards it.
Edelmiro Jansen, from the Ministry VROMI Department of Infrastructure Management explained the history behind the landfill while Louis Brown, Acting Secretary General of Ministry VROMI provided information about plans for a Solid Waste Management Facility.
