“All in gear for the up coming’s King’s Games”

Volunteers met with Organizing Committee Inauguration and the Department of Sports on Monday, April 22, 2013, to discuss the logistics for the upcoming King’s Games, which will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013. 

The King’s Games will be a fun and enjoyable day for all children in primary schools. During the King’s Games and a healthy but above all festive King’s Breakfast will served to the participants. The day will be held on Friday, 26 April 2013 across the Netherlands and within the Countries of the Kingdom. The King’s Games are being organized by a special committee along with the Department of Sports. The games and other sporting activities will include a Soccer Tournament, a Walk-a-thon & Bike-A-Thon.

Start of Walk a thon Route: Starts in front of the Festival village going around to the Salt Pickers roundabout and along the Pond fill Road, onto the Prins Bernard Bridge and continuing up the Bush Road until arriving at Le Grande Marche. The participants will turn right onto the L.B. Scott road and finish in the Jose Lake Sr. / John Cooper Ball park

Festival Village to Le Grande Marche then on to Jose Lake Sr. / John Cooper Ball Park.

Start of Bike a thon Route: Starts in front of the Festival village. Go straight ahead on the Soualiga Road and turn left on to the Arch road. Continue on the Arch Road and join onto the A. T. Illidge Road in Madame Estate. Continue on the A T Illidge Road, at the round – about join the Zaegersgut road. Continue on the Zaegersgut road, turn right onto the Bush road. At the round-about, turn right onto the L.B. Scott Road. Follow the road until the Jose Lake Sr. / John Cooper Ball park

Festival Village to Zaegergut Road on to Bush Road then on to Jose Lake Sr. / John Cooper Ball Park.

Prime Minister Sarah Wescot Williams will participate in the Walk a thon and Minister of Education Culture Youth & Sport, Silveria Jacobs will join in with the Bike a thon.
