Minister of Finance in Parliament on Tuesday

Two more Central Committee meetings scheduled for March 20 and 21

The Minister of Finance Hon. Roland Tuitt will be in a Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 19.

This meeting is a continuation from the adjourned session on January 25 and is scheduled for 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The Minister of Finance will continue to answer questions posed in the first round by Members of Parliament with respect to the financial situation of the country.

The initial meeting was requested by the Minister in a letter dated October 17, 2012.

The Central Committee of Parliament will meet on March 20 and 21 about the Marine Industry and the Monument Council.

The central committee will meet on Wednesday, March 20 at 2.00pm in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point is related to the survival and growth of the marine industry in Sint Maarten. This meeting was requested by M.F. Ferrier on behalf of the Sint Maarten Marine Trades Association (SMMTA).

The central committee will meet on Thursday, March 21 at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber.

The agenda point for this meeting is the proposal to name the Chair persons and member of the Monument Council. Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Hon. Silveria Jacobs will be present for the session.
