Road Tax online 2013

The Minister of Finance and the Honorable Prime Minister proudly present to the General public of St. Maarten the first digital service on its Online Service Portal: eLogin per February 1, 2013. This is part of Digitalizing Government (e-Government) mentioned in the Governing program

On the new site: http://onlineservices.sintmaartengov.org one can login and register for an E-login.

The E-login is a username and password combination that gives users access to low threshold services of Government. The first service made available by the Tax department is downloading Tax forms.

Once on the site it will explain how to select and download tax forms for businesses to able to file all monthly taxes starting January 2013.

Within days the system will be extended with a function to offer online tax filing, the site will explain how to request and qualify for this function. The tax payer will not have to go to the tax department any more to pick up forms.

We are urging the general public, especially businesses, to use these new services, as it will improve the level of Government services.

In the coming weeks and months new functions, such as

· Online Payments

· Requesting a Tax ID (Crib number)

· Protesting an Assessment

· Filing Income taxes

· Filing Wage tax Year end summaries

· Filing Profit Taxes
