Says she is proud of men and women in protective services

The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot-Williams opened the Training of the Protective Services Operations Officers on Monday. The training, which is being given by specialist operators from the United States, is a weeklong course given to law enforcement officers who engage in protective services.

The Prime Minister wished a warm welcome to those conducting the training for St. Maarten’s security officers; "I am sure you will be having an excellent and exiting time bringing your information across" the Prime Minister said to the visiting instructors. To the participants at the training course the Prime Minister said that those attending should be proud to be selected as a first group for this particular training; "I wish you a very successful course and take in all that you can take. Things change every day in the area of security and now, after this course, you can be at the forefront with some of the things that are happening in this field and I encourage you to take active part in what is taking place. We want to make sure that our people are at the front of being able to offer security and protection services and I am proud of you and I look forward to hearing about your experiences. So I appreciate you helping to build this country step by step and block by block" concluded the Prime Minister.
