On Monday, a delegation from the Sint Maarten Social Economic Council (SER) paid a visit to the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary. The delegation spoke to Minister Plenipotentiary Hon. Mathias S. Voges, director Cor James, policy advisor Perry Geerlings and policy advisor Carol Voges. The chairman of the SER René Richardson updated minister Voges on the role and objectives of the SER.
Minister Voges exchanged information and upcoming activities of his cabinet. The meeting was a follow up to the previous meeting that was held earlier this year in May. Minister Voges could not be present at the first meeting, due to the swearing in of the new government.
In addition to the visit to the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary, Chairman René Richardson will attend the official farewell ceremony/reception of outgoing SER Chairman of the Netherlands Alexander Rinnooy Kan, and will also make use of the opportunity to meet the new incoming Chairman W. Draijer. Concluding its work visit to the Netherlands, the SER will meet with the Dutch Central Statistical Office (CBS).
