On Sunday December 11th at approximately 05.30 a.m. a police patrol was sent to front desk at Sonesta Maho to investigate a possible shooting. On the scene the investigating officers spoke to the victim with initials R.Y. who stated that he had gone to the hotel to call the police. He further stated that a short while before he had a confrontation with an unknown man concerning a lady he had a relationship with. This confrontation turned into a fight at which time, according to the victim, he heard a loud noise and felt a sharp pain around his left ear. The victim however stated that he did not see a fire arm. The victim also stated that during the fight he fell hitting the left side of his face on a stone. The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics and then transported to the medical center for further treatment. It is still unclear took place in this case and it is under investigation by the Detective department to determine exactly happened.
