On Monday, November 21st at approximately 09.50 p.m. several police patrols were directed to Miki Bar and Restaurant on the L.B. Scot road to investigate and armed robbery that occurred shortly before. On the scene, the manager of the establishment with the initials Z.M. stated that two masked men armed each with a handgun stormed into the business. They threatened to use their weapons if cooperation was not given. The robbers then robbed the establishment of about $ 200,-. During the robbery a client with initials T.M. was ill-treated by the robbers and had to taken to Sint Maarten Medical Center for treatment. While fleeing from the scene a gun belonging to one of the robbers fell on the floor. The robber did not stop to pick up the gun and fled the scene leaving the gun behind. This gun was confiscated for further investigation. The Special Robbery Unit is in charge of this investigation.
