EDC updates Executive Council
On invitation of the Executive Council, Mr. Joseph Richardson, Interim Manager of the Economic Development Corporation (EDC), a government owned company was on hand on Thursday to provide the Council with an update on the activities of this company and its subsidiaries.
The EDC was granted permission to manage the development of the so-called Waterside Property, adjacent to the Harbor in Point Blanche, a project that is expected to be carried out in collaboration with the Harbor companies.
The Government of Sint Maarten expects within short to invite the Harbor Management to apprise the Council of its views on the envisaged development.
Other matters discussed were the works of the subsidiaries of EDC in Philipsburg and the structure of the Simpsonbay Lagoon Authority Corporation, another subsidiary of EDC.
