Roach to face India in Tour Match

JOHN’S, Antigua – The Selection Panel of the West Indies Cricket Board announced today, a 13-member squad for the three-day, first-class tour match between the WICB President’s XI and India, starting this coming Thursday at Warner Park in St. Kitts.

NOTES The 28-year-old Roach, a veteran of 37 Tests in which he has claimed 122 wickets at 30.23 runs apiece, headlines seven changes to the side that played the two-day, tour match which ended yesterday at the same venue. He comes into the squad along with Campbell, Cornwall, Hamilton, Hodge, Holder and Motie.

 

Holder was a member of the West Indies Under-19 side that won the ICC Youth World Cup earlier this year in Bangladesh, while Campbell, Cornwall, Hamilton, Hodge and Motie have been rewarded for performances in the past season of the WICB Professional Cricket League Regional 4-Day Tournament.

 

Rajindra Chandrika, Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich, all of whom have been picked in the West Indies squad for the first Test, as well as Damion Jacobs, Marquino Mindley and Jomel Warrican have been swapped out.
