Sports Report 16th Annual Oyster bay  Youth Tennis Championship  2017.

The Lab Sports Academy hosted the 16^th annual Oyster bay Youth Tennis championship over the week end of January 28^th & 29^th 2017. 

This was a very successful event. We had a total of 29 players from the different clubs on St. Maarten. 

Thanks goes out to the St. Maarten Tennis club who showed up with over 15 players in different categories.

 

 

The Championship was held in Five different categories. These are the results of the competition.  

 

 

In the Beginners Bracket we had as winners :

Boys:    1^st Place : Sean Williams

2^nd Place: Rafael Amelunxen

 

Girls: 1. Place  Semaiah Cranie

2^nd Place Sienne Williams

 

Under 10 Category:

Boys: 1^st Place  Yosh Mahtani.

             2^nd Place  Jahred Braly.

 

Girls: 1^st Place Sofia Amelunxen

             2^nd Place Trishila Raikar.

 

Under 13 Category:

Boys:   1^st place : Kisherno Webster

               2^nd  Place Ejomar Shillingford

Girls:  1^st Place Keisha Webster

              2^nd Ejanee Shillingford.

 

Under 15 Category :

Boys: 1^st Place Nathan Casimir

            2^nd Adrian Arrindell.

 

Girls: 1^st Place Sage Williams

             2^nd Place Jolien Williams.

  

This was the first tournament of the year 2017. The next event will take place in two months.

It is the intension of the organizers that the youth have some kind of competition challenge  to look out for every two months.

This is part of the goal in developing the youth tennis and the sport on St. Maarten.

A big thank you also goes out to The management of Oyster bay who sponsored this event for the sixteenth time. Looking forward to their continued support.
