Sher’s Puppet Theater presents “Respect: children learning how to communicate” at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library’s weekly Story Time “Dutch is Fun” done by Sherida Mak. Saturday 5 November 2016 from 11am to 12pm.
Research findings have suggested that puppet shows are effective means of reinforcing existing knowledge and communicating new information while Storytelling widens children’s imagination and also helps with remembering words, learning about new topics and in this case learning and enhancing one’s Dutch language skills.
Literacy on all levels is the Philipsburg Jubilee Library core mission and with these goals in mind the interactive performance will be taken place this Saturday November 5th. We are encouraging all children to come out and enjoy this event.
“Dutch is fun” is a Story time program that is full of stories, songs, and games in the Dutch language. The story time is aimed at young children aged 4 to 11. The object of Dutch is fun Story time is to show how much fun one can
have while reading and listening to stories being read in the Dutch language and enjoy interactive activities while at the same time learning to be fluent in the language.
