The 2015 Neighborhood baseball competition organized by the St. Martin Pony League concluded with Dutch Quarter as the 2015 St. Maarten / St.Martin champions. The St. James pitcher Jonathan Ministrie pitched on Friday night to dominate the bats of the Cul de Sac team with a score of 5-3 and placed the St.James team in the finals of the competition. On the other hand Dutch Quarter defeated the I CAN Braves and was placed in the Finals to play against the team of St.James. So it boiled down to one team of the French Side and one team of the Dutch Side.
In the finals Rene Gonzales of the Dutch Quarter team dominated the bats of St. James. The game ended 3 – 1 in favor of Dutch Quarter.The catcher Dante Jeffrey connected homerun for Dutch Quarter to lead 3 – 1 and kept it so until the end of the game.
Next year the competition is expected to start in January 2016 .
