Cayhill- The yearly International Summer Soccer Camp, organised by the Oualichi Women’s Soccer Association, starts this Friday. Oualichi WSA together with Progress sports will conduct a 3 day soccer programme for boys and girls from ages 6 to 17 years old.
Two of last year’s coaches will be coaching again: Guy Peeters from Belgium who is the chairman of Progress sports and tutor for the Belgium Football Federation, and, Mr. Louis Garvey from England, who is a youth coach for Manchester United. New to the programme is Erik Nieuwenhuis who has a background in coaching youth teams from the ages of 8 to 12 years old at different local clubs in the Netherlands. He is certified as a skills trainer Coerver and has worked for the Manchester United soccer academy in the Netherlands. Erik is also a certified all-round physical/ speed and recovery trainer and mental coach. With these coaches Oualichi will provide a comprehensive training during these three days on different aspect of football.
In addition to the three day programme at the Raoul Illidge Stadium, there will also be a training session at the ICAN foundation. The coaches will be volunteering their time to an afternoon session on Saturday with the kids of the foster homes. Oualichi WSA and K1 Britannia are making this possible by joining their resources of volunteers, coaches and finances so that many kids can be part of the International Summer Soccer Camp 2016.
