Cooperation agreement Signed Between Capriles Clinic & Mental Health Foundation

On Monday evening the Mental Health Foundation St. Maarten signed a cooperation agreement with the Capriles Clinic in Curaçao. Dr. Oostburg the general director of Capriles Clinic has from the onset in 2006 been very supportive of the MHF, any advice needed in setting up a psychiatric facility he at all times was willing to give.

From protocols and procedures, job descriptions to education and qualification need, everything MHF asked for it was always made available.

With an agreement signed the cooperation is now formalized and MHF is an acknowledged cooperation partner of the Capriles group. Presently the Capriles group manages a general psychiatric hospital Capriles, the foundation for child and adolescent psychiatry and the foundation Sonrisa for guided living all in Curaçao.

MHF and Capriles have now committed to support each other in the development of psychiatry, inpatient and outpatient care, nursing and guidance of children as well as adults.

After signing the agreement Dr. Oostburg confirmed that he had learned from the visit to the MHF today and hoped that Capriles can offer much more support to MHF in the future.

The cooperation agreement is for 3 years and will be evaluated annually.

Presently visiting from Curaçao is: Dr. Waldi Oostburg, general director, Frank Rothweiler, executive office manager, Andre Stoltenborg facility management, and Dr. Karin Hermans, child psychiatrist.
