The St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce and Industry would like to inform the members on the results of the re-submittance postulation of candidates for the Board of Directors of the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry that ended on Friday November 18, 2011 at 12 noon.
The re-submission of candidates were examined and approved by the Election Committee, members, Messer: Franklin Brison, Julian Lynch, Richard Boyd and Ms. Myrna Lynch.
For the Small Business Sector a total of Thirteen (13) candidates for the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce were nominated and approved to contest the two (2) positions. The names are:
Rolando Brison, Louis Bute, Bernardo de Castro, Michel Hodge, Eugene James, Tamara Leonard, Ann Meyers, Patrick Muller, Kaishah Peters, Charlise Philips, Ajay Rawtani, Charles Thomas and Maria Mercedes Wyatt.
For the Large Business Sector we have seven (7) of which six (6) candidates were approved for one (1) position. The names are:
Bernardo de Castro, Eugene James, Abdul Meyers, Ann Meyers, Charlise Philips, and Charles Thomas.
Consequently election for both Sectors will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 9:00 am to 12 noon.
Voters are advised to pick up their voting cards at the Chamber of Commerce & Industry office from Monday, November 21, 2011.
