Collision between motorcycle and jeep.

On Sunday December 14th at approximately 04.00 a.m. the police traffic department was directed to Rhine road in the vicinity of Saphire Beach club to investigate a traffic accident with injuries. On the scene the investigating officers encountered a collision between a motorcycle with license plate AB 659 –EC and a jeep with license plate P-1170. The rider of the scooter was bleeding heavily from a wound to the right side of his stomach and a possible broken upper and lower left leg. Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after and transported the victim to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
Cause of the collision: The motorcycle rider traveling from the direction of Mullet Bay took a left turn too sharp and collided with the oncoming traffic.
