Rotary Clubs organizing International Day of Peace celebration

The Rotary Clubs of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin recently unveiled a Peace Monument at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.  It is dedicated to promote justice, nonviolence and social change in our community.
With the Peace Monument as our guiding tool, the Clubs will be organizing a cultural manifestation on the occasion of International Day of Peace, September 21, 2014. This manifestation will be a display of the diversity of cultures in Sint Maarten/ Saint Martin. It is the intention to have nationals from various cultures wear their national colors or clothing, while the highlight  of the Cultural Manifestation is to have all nationals present hold hands around the monument as a symbol of peace and unity amongst us all.
Cultural and/or National Organizations and Associations are hereby invited to participate in this event. You will be allowed to showcase and sell food and items from your country and culture.
