A representative from the Department of Interior and Kingdom Relations (BAK) of the Ministry of General Affairs and a representative from the Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), will be the guests on Thursday, August 08 on PEARL 98.1 FM Radio at 9.00am.
The Government of Sint Maarten started a National Development Plan (NDP) project, "Building a Nation: Sint Maarten National Development Plan & Institutional Strengthening," in the latter part of 2012.
The process entails community engagement and a bottoms-up approach.
The NDP rep Tom Woods, United Nations Volunteer and Ministry VROMI rep Joan Sellink, Department Head, will inform radio listeners and the community about the linkage between development planning and zoning.
The NDP is a people’s project that is putting institutions in place that not only enable everyone in St. Maarten to come together to build a national development strategy but to have an on-going dialogue and participation in its conception and implementation.
