Skillz Baseball Academies Alumni In Action

 

 Skillz Baseball Alumni Professional Baseball Player Marc Ramirez is on his way to Venezuela to play a championship series with his Dominican Republic team. Marc Ramirez a French St Maarten born resident who went to school on Dutch St Maarten is playing with a Japanese team in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

Marc Ramirez has been selected to play next month at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Florida with the French National Team World Baseball Classic Qualifier (WBCQ) Round. The event is organized by World Baseball Classic Inc in New York an affiliate of Major League Baseball (MLB) Inc.

“A St Maarten/St Martin delegation is invited to travel next month to attend the event to support our local Professional Ball Players from the island who will play on the French World Baseball Classic team.

“At the moment four players from St Maarten has been selected to play on WBCQ. Marc Ramirez, Felix Brown, Rene Leveret and College player Omar Williams are the four players. A few days ago MLB got clearance for College players to play in the WBCQ event.

“There will be no compensation for Collegiate Players, only limited expenses will be covered. To my understanding the event will be televised and the friendly island Tourism Boards should capitalize on this event if they desire,” Skillz Baseball Board Chairman Reggie Plaisir said on Tuesday.
