The Coast Guard Caribbean on Wednesday intercepted a fishing boat near Klein Curacao with 91 pounds of narcotics . It is the second interception in a short time for the Coast Guard.
End of March was 168 kilograms of cocaine intercepted. The contraband was in the night from Tuesday 3 Wednesday 4 April by the Coast Guard Cutter Jaguar, in cooperation with the Dash 8 maritime patrol aircraft, intercepted after inspection of a fishing boat.
The vessel was at that time within the territorial waters of Curacao. The three occupants were arrested. The vessel and the drugs are seized and applied to the Coast Guard Jetty at Naval Base Parera.
Once there, the drugs and the suspects were transferred to the Organized Crime Division of the Police Corps of Curacao and the Customs Investigation with whom the Coast Guard to jointly further the investigation will continue.
