CaribServe internet service outage

During the early morning hours CaribServe internet service, the broadband internet service of UTS, was disrupted for several hours.
This service interruption was due an upgrade that was scheduled to take place during the early morning hours of Monday, October 6. Regretfully the upgrade activities took longer than planned and internet service to CaribServe customers was disrupted. The upgrade, which should not have caused any down-time, was scheduled to take place overnight to minimize the chance of disruption to customers. UTS technicians worked diligently to restore service to customers as soon as possible and service was fully restored at 10 am this morning. Chippie mobile voice and internet service were unaffected by this outage.
“UTS sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience this outage may have caused our CaribServe customers” says UTS Marketing and Communication Officer, Ivy Lambert “ We are thankful that the majority of the down-time was during the early morning hours, when the need for data connectivity is significantly diminished. We would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding while we worked on resolving the outage” Lambert continues.
