The communication Department of Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland yearly organizes an event for members of the press and communication experts of the public entities of Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba. This year it will be organized for the fifth time.
Theme for the Day of the Press 2014 is “Caribbean Netherlands – European Netherlands , just a bit different….” or “How to behave, how do you deal with each other, what are the rules for etiquette and protocol”. In this case the emphasis is on the similarities and differences between the Caribbean Netherlands and the European Netherlands.
The workshop will be conducted by Marianne Wiltjer, she works as a project manager communication Royal House at the Central Government Information Department. She has worked both in the Caribbean as the European part of The Netherlands.
This year we have chosen to organize separate workshops on Bonaire and the Windward Islands. On Bonaire this takes place on the Day of the Press, Monday September 1st, on Saba on September 4th and on St. Eustatius on September 5th..
Besides the educational part of the day, on all three islands the Day of the Press will be celebrated with an informal gathering of the press and the communication experts.
