St. Maarten Lions Club supports Scouting Antiano District St. Maarten to attend 15th Caribbean Jamboree.

The St. Maarten Lions Club recently served the community by donating to the Scouting movement on St. Maarten a total sum of US$ 2400,- for the sponsorship of various scouts to attend the 15th annual Caribbean Jamboree.
This year Scouting Antiano District St. Maarten will be attending with a delegation of scouts and their Leaders, the 15th Annual Caribbean Jamboree in Curacao to hone their skills and build on their friendships.
Scouting has always been one of the greatest youth development programs in the world and sponsoring the Scouts the Lions sincerely believe that that the empowerment of youngsters through leadership skills honing is something that the Lions and Leos have always been a strong supporter off.

According to Lion president Claudio Buncamper and chairperson of the Youth committee PDG Lion Claudius Buncamper of the St. Maarten Lions Club whom both have been scouts when younger. The club also thanked the scouts leaders and its members on island whom have continuously stepped up to the plate and truly showed their community spirit by working in the interest of the youths of this country.
The St. Maarten Lions Club is proud to once again be associated with the Scouting Antiano District St. Maarten and be given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the youngsters on the island.
The St. Maarten Lions Club has 52 members and meets on every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Lions Civic Center at 7.00 pm.
