For the month of June, 29 volunteers participated in 3 local non-profit events totaling 78 hours. The first event assisted locals with clean-up efforts and maintenance of a Dutch Memorial Cemetery.
Next, six volunteers operated fitness stations and provided supervision of 100 students during the Curacao American Preparatory School’s Fitness Day Program.
Finally, our volunteers participated in sporting activities at an after school program in Fuik. These engagements and interactions continue to influence and shape the lives of those who participate in these events.
Since 2000, the USFOL has built strong partnerships with local community-based organizations to express their appreciation for the hospitality they have received from the citizens of Curacao.
