St. John’s, ANTIGUA – President of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), Dave Cameron has offered congratulations to WICB Independent Director, Don Wehby who has returned to the Upper House of the Jamaican Parliament.
In a letter to the Senator, the President noted that “the appointment is testament to the quality and body of work you continue to deliver. Your work here at the WICB has been exemplary and we know with your continued efforts, the work of the board will grow and improve.”
The President added that the Directors, Management and Staff of the Board, “look forward to all other collaborations that we can explore with the new assignment and we standby to support you continuously.”
Just before the appointment, Mr Wehby was appointed to head an independent team to assess the undone recommendations from the Lucky, Patterson and Wilkin Reports. These Reports have over time made suggestions regarding changes to the WICB and its governance and management structures. The terms of reference of this team, will focus primarily on the recommendations that have not been implemented and for the team to examine if there is an opportunity to bring anything back to the Territorial Boards and the WICB for adoption by the shareholders.
