Board and staff members of the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry recently paid a visit to the boys and girls of three children’s homes on St. Maarten and brought along with them gifts for the children residing at the homes. The boys and girls of the I Can Foundation, the New Start for Children Foundation and the UJIMA Boys were presented with gifts that were bought from donations by the Chamber Board of Directors individually and the Staff Members. At each of the homes Board and Staff Members had the opportunity to speak with the Directors of the homes as well as play and interact with the children. Executive Director Claret Connor was pleased that the visits were made and Chamber President Peggy Ann Brandon assured the homes that the gift-giving program would continue in the years to come in a more organized and grand scale. She extended her appreciation to the service that each organization pays to our society and hopes that the gesture would encourage them to continue with these noble causes.
