The young and young at heart and those who want to make a statement regarding living peacefully and encouraging our youth to resolve conflicts peaceably, are invited to join the PEACE IS Foundation on Friday September 19th as we march under the theme “Champions of Peace”
This march is being held in collaboration with the St. Maarten Youth Council Association and will begin at 3:00 p.m. All participants are asked to gather at the Clem Labega Square at 2:30 p.m. in preparation for the march which will start at the Salt Pickers round about, WJA Nisbeth Road, left turn by GEBE, up School Steeg, left on Front Street, Emmaplein with a very brief stop at the Peace Monument at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, E Camille Richardson Street, back to the Clem Labega Square.
Immediately thereafter, there will be a manifestation which will include performances and brief remarks by invited guests. All persons participating in the march will be accompanied by a drum band, Red Cross and VIP Guards & Errands
The PEACE IS Foundation and the St. Maarten Youth Council Association look forward to seeing the youth and general public marching to promote peace.
