The St.Maarten Princess Juliana International Airport started its 1st ever biennial Jean Christian Aviation Scholarship Award, as an initiative for the future of the youth of St.Maarten. Ms Regina Labega, managing director of sxm airport, sees this event as sowing a seed for the future of St.Maarten. The Jean Christian Scholarship is a full scholarship to be awarded every 2 years, to a well deserving St. Maarten student for full tution for a 4 year college course in any aviation field.
Ms. Jean Christian thanked the Sxm Airport for being recognised for her 40 years of service to the Airport.
The 1st awardee to recieve this scholarship is Mr. Kevin Jeffers, who gave some encouraging words to the youth to believe in their dreams and pursue them.
