“Preparing for their first exhibition match on Saturday 16 of November”

The Oualichi Girls Soccer Team, nicknamed team "OGST" has started their first training on the second of November. They are the newest members of the Oualichi Women’s Soccer Association which also has a women’s team (nicknamed team OWST) and a women’s under 20 team (nicknamed WU20).

The girls range from six to twelve years old and practice every Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am under the supervision of CONCACAF licensed head coach Ms. Dagmar Daal and assistant coach Ms. Alexandra den Ouden.

Currently the team practices at the field behind the little league stadium in town until renovations at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex are finalized. The girls will be showcasing their skills and their team on the 16th of November at the one year celebration of women’s soccer on St. Maarten. During the anniversary event the girls will play their first exhibition match and the event will also feature a first ever penalty shoot-out competition in which prominent females of the community are going to participate. Team OGST urges the community to come out and support their team and the one year celebration of the Oualichi Women’s Soccer Team on the 16th of November at the LB Scott Sports Auditorium from 2:00-6:00pm. There is still a few spots open on the team and if parents wish to sign up their daughters please contact oualichisoccerclinic@gmail.com
