Students of the graduating class of the Prins Willem Alexander School (PWAS) were still flying high as they were treated just after their graduation to an aerial tour sponsored by the Princess Juliana International Airport, SXM, and WINAIR.

Accompanying them on the flight were Jerome Gumbs of the Marketing & Customer Service Department, along with SXM interns Chiaria Bowers and Valeska Celestine. Those students who did not go on the flight were given a tour of the terminal building by Daphne Roberts (MCD).
Once the flight was over, the students were bused to SXM’s Rescue & Fire Fighting Department where the firefighters already had hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill waiting for them. There the students also met Acting Manager of Marketing & Customer Service, Suzy Kartokromo, who gave them branded backpacks with supplies.
PWAS was adopted by SXM Airport in 2011 as part of the latter’s educational outreach program.
