St John’s, Antigua – Trinidad and Tobago off spinner Sunil Narine has received a maiden call up to the West Indies A Team for the First Digicel ‘Test’ against Bangladesh A in Antigua.
The 23 year old who has been added to the previously announced 12 man squad, has appeared in only two First Class matches for T&T but has been impressive in the shorter formats of the game. He captured the Curtly Ambrose Trophy for the most outstanding bowler in the just concluded Regional Super50.
He finished with 15 wickets from 5 matches with a best of 6 for 48.
All rounder Dwayne Bravo will captain the 13 man squad which includes seven players with international experience. The squad also includes five players from the Sagicor High Performance Centre.

The first of the two Digicel ‘Tests’ in the series will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground from November 5th to 8th.
The Second Digicel ‘Test’ will be played at the Beausejour Cricket Ground from November 12th to 15th.
The two sides will also face each other in two Digicel Twenty20s and three Digicel One Day matches.
