Male arrested for false documents

During the early afternoon hours on Tuesday May 7th 2019, a male passenger from the Dominican Republic with initials Y.R.R. attempted to enter the country with a forged document. Y.R.R. arrived on the island on a Winair flight which originated from Curacao.

After handing his documents to an Immigration Officer, the documents were inspected. During the inspection of these documents the Immigration officer suspected that one of the documents had been falsified. These documents were brought the Alpha Team stationed at the Princess Juliana International Airport who is specialized in detecting falsified documents. Upon their inspection they confirmed that said document was indeed false.

Y.R.R. was immediately arrested by members of the Alpha Team for attempting to enter the country using a falsified document.
The falsified document was confiscated and Y.R.R. was immediately taken to the main police station in Philipsburg where he remains in custody pending further investigation.
