The staff of the Collective Prevention Services (CPS), a department in the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labour (Ministry VSA), has been recertified by completing two training courses with the Windward Island Emergency Medical Services (WIEMS).
The trainings took place in November over a two-day period.
The two-day courses entailed, First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training, and on the second day of the training was on the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The recertified staff were presented with their new cards by the President of WIEMS, Ms. Maria Chemont. Upon receiving the cards, Ms. Chemont gave words of encouragement to continue being advocates of health and the importance of everyone being knowledgeable in life saving techniques.
