Police arrested one male suspect on Friday November 10th at approximately 04.30 a.m. after a call came in from Casa Blanca in Oyster pond concerning a robbery which had taken place shortly before. On the scene the investigating officer encountered a female who stated that she was the one that called. She also pointed out the male suspect who had robbed her of her gold chain. She also pointed out the vehicle he was driving in.
The officers approached the suspect and during questioning admitted that he came to the club in a gray Suzuki Vitara carrying license plate 0677-AAA and which was the same vehicle the victim had pointed out. The investigating officers could also smell the scent of marihuana coming from the vehicle and went on to search the vehicle. During the search a handgun was found on the floor of the vehicle in front of the driver seat. This fire-arm was immediately confiscated for further investigation.
The suspect identified with initials J.C.D. (28) was arrested on in the spot and take to the Philipsburg Police Head quarters where he is being held for questioning and further investigation.
