Originally scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7
The free workshop entitled, “Applying to Schools in the Netherlands” organized by The Student Support Services Division (SSSD) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, scheduled for Thursday, September 7, 2017 has been postponed until further notice due to the forecasted passing of Hurricane Irma.
This workshop, geared at students in the last two years of secondary school or recent graduates, was scheduled to be held at SSSD’s office from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
There is a need for this workshop since applying to schools can be a daunting task for some students. SSSD is trying to make this process easier by providing students with the necessary information. Vocational as well as academic tracts and schools with Dutch or English language instruction in the Netherlands will be covered.
“The new date for the workshop will be publicized after the forecasted inclement weather has passed,” SSSD officials said.
“Once we have a new date, parents are urged to encourage their children to attend this workshop,” they added.
Attendants are also encouraged to be on time and to register for the subsequent workshop since space is limited. If parents or students have any questions on this workshop, they can contact the Student Support Services Division at telephone 543-1235 for more information.
