The Be The Change Foundation is now accepting applications on their website for their annual grant program geared towards local non-profit organizations, foundations, and social initiatives.
Each year Be The Change Foundation assists the community by sponsoring specific social projects and charitable initiatives through their online crowd-funding platform. The mission of the foundation is to encourage people to “give back” with as little as $1 donation per month.
Thus far, Be The Change has featured and supported various projects within the St. Maarten community, including but not limited to: EduCare Foundation’s Early Childhood Development& Disorder Conference, the New Generation Status Drum Band performance trip to Disney World, SFPO’s Non-Violence Resistance Project Training Program, and SXM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s initiative to teach vulnerable children safety self-defense techniques.
Currently, the foundation is highlighting K1 Britannia’s Work, Training, and Social Development program, whose goal is to provide 16 foster teenagers and 5 teenagers under probationary measures with work experience placements, educational and practical training courses such as their GED diploma, First Aid Responder and basic IT course, work-ready workshops and 3 volunteer placements with social development organizations.
Organizations can apply online at www.bethechangesxm.com from now until the deadline of December 7, 2017 at 11:59pm.
