On Thursday September 29th the Justice K-9 Unit visited Learning Unlimited School in Cay Hill to give a demonstration on the function of this unit. The presentation was organized by Mrs. Amissa President with the assistance of the Community Police Officer Inspector Rensley Henson.
Approximately 80 children between the ages of five and twelve years old attended the demonstration. The demonstration consisted of a performance by the drugs, firearms-explosives and cellular phone sniffing dogs, showing the children how well trained these dogs are finding contraband. The main attraction was at the end of the demonstration with the patrol/attack dog “Oscar”, allowing the children to witness how capable this dog is in taking a suspect down. The students were quite impressed with presentation and were very happy the K-9 Unit gave the presentation.
